What to Expect on the Day

Pre-dawn pickup
You are collected from your hotel near Sigiriya or Dambulla before sunrise, when the air is calmest.

For about an hour you drift over paddy fields, forest and lakes, with the Sigiriya rock fortress and ancient sites below on a good wind.
